Hubsan X4 - Comments

Advantages: * Flies well, stable * Good GPS accuracy * Good specifications * Automatic Return To Home (RTH) in case of low battery, saved me once * Good price for the performance * Good range with the phone relay extender * Smartphone App worked well so far

Limitations: * Just one battery, need to buy more separately * Not foldable... but anyway sufficiently compact to bring around

Conclusions: Hubsan X4 H107C 2.4G 4CH RC RTF quadcopter is great fun. Easy to fly.

Conclusions: Need lots of calibration and trimming before you can fly it nicely.

Conclusions: Its a great unit the first few flights were great although at hover it would wonder even with trim buttons which seemed not to work with gps on. The return home didn't work. My Grandson and I flew it last evening with 10 listed for gps satellites we got it to hover and the thing just took off at full speed without touching the controls. Took off no longer to be seen again. Could not find it. Beware..

Conclusions: Due to the crash guard (which comes hidden underneath the packaging, this little guy came out unscathed. Grass landings don't appear to phase it in the least. However, cement is less forgiving. If you are a quadracopter amateur, like I am, fly it indoors for a while to get used to the controls. It's difficult to master, or even just get acquainted with. DO NOT take it outside until you are proficient with. When you do, trim it after some low level runs to help counteract the wind. Now, after a few flights, I'm giving it five stars. Why? Because at $51, it's cheap. After a massive fall from ~150', it took no damage, only a missing prop.

Conclusions: Present for a 60 year old man who is very difficult to buy for . He was is his glory . Up and running straight away . I now understand the review someone else had left about her pot pourri being decimated

Conclusions: My first quadcopter. One day with it so far. For the money, even if it doesn't last, it can't be beat. This thing is tiny. I carefully read the directions and got everything set up. For my first flight I started inside in an empty bonus room. Quite challenging. Once I ventured outside and had more space to maneuver, it was easier to figure out how to fly it. It will climb quite high very quickly, and given its size, it becomes hard to see. Video quality is low, but usable in good light. I got the crash pack just in case. I bought a blade guard; it came with one, so I have a spare now. Wish I'd gotten more batteries, but I'll order more soon. Flight time is 6-7 minutes per charge. I'll probably end up getting something larger after getting hooked on this!

Conclusions: Am very pleased with my order ,received it on time and with no damage ,drone had a messed up shaft but I think that was manufacturer fault! But all in all I'm happy

Conclusions: my fiance got this for himself for his birthday this year. He loved the camera option, and did several flights while it was on. There's a mic but it is drowned out by the buzzing of the motors that make the props spin, so that's a bummer. Also- the camera broke rather quickly, and we just don't have the right sort of soldering iron to fix it, but the quad copter still flies fine, and is lighter without the added camera...so the battery lasts a bit longer. Bummed it wasn't even a month old when the camera broke, but because the quad copter itself still works, is reason for me to keep it at a higher rating. My fiance still very much enjoys flying this, so if he's happy, I'm happy. Well worth it since he had another Hubsan and now has plenty of batteries to keep flying for a longer period of time.

Advantages: Great entry level quad that is not a "toy" . I have had it for a week and it has all the features some of the more expensive models like a phantom 3 or 4 form DJI have. Smaller and thinner profile than a DJI quad as well. Easy to fly and program out of the box. Search Youtube for the model number and you will see many 1080p videos of the quads flight. Quick learning curve and I was able to fly mine right out of the box.

Conclusions: High performance for aerial photo, GPS assistance and home return. Only the OSD on TX is a little slow (incomparison with 501s TX). I am using it with 501s TX instead of 501c TX - see the third photo

Advantages: This thing is amazing for the price. It is very powerful and the picture quality is very good. I crashed it from about 200 feet high and it is still flying today! Pretty tough. The range is impressive. It will fly much farther than I can see and keep up with its direction.
