Yardi Voyager Management: Pros and Cons from a Mid-Sized Portfolio Perspective

After using Yardi Voyager management tools for the past 18 months across our 1,500-unit residential portfolio, I wanted to share some key observations. One major pro is how centralized everything is—from tenant communications to accounting workflows. The user interface may seem dated at first, but once you get the hang of it, the depth of customization is impressive.

However, there are challenges. For instance, we’ve had some issues with report generation—especially when trying to customize KPIs for our internal dashboard. The learning curve is also quite steep for new staff. Onboarding can take weeks without dedicated training.

That said, Yardi Voyager management software continues to be our preferred solution because of its scalability and support. Their customer service has been responsive, though we often need to escalate to get more advanced technical help.
