Advantages: This middle size dron is suitable for beginners and advandce pilots, I like Hubsan H501SS more than xiro and DJI phantom 3 standard, easy to unlock eeprom to cancel limit for speed and altitude. When you turn off GPS mode you can enjoy really fun flight but be carefull of burning esc or battery. The fpv is great of distance arround 800 metres with add. antenna set. Only the camera would be better, but for drone is not problem to carry external camera with gimbal. I recommend use two baterries. If you calibrate gyro and compas properly you can rely on it.

Advantages: This is a great quad for the price, it even included some things not in the description. I've only flown it a few times but it's working incredibly. It's very easy to set up and learn to fly especially if you read the whole manual, which isn't that long. I received the H501S-S version of the drone which is great I assume they fixed some of the issues people have had with them. Even though it wasn't listed, It came with a rechargeable battery for the transmitter, which also seems to have a new simpler design for installing the AAA batteries if you ever want to use those instead. Also included a sunshade for the transmitter and a filter you can put on the camera lens. Definitely would make the same choice again.

Very small feet really limits where you can take off and land, it also keeps it very agile and fast, but it feels like there could be at least some type of legs without sacrificing too much speed.

Advantages: Good price for this quality of product. Nice packaging. Replacement props., tool and charger included. Nice transmitter with good sensations and capacity to work with AA batterys or lipos (better with lipos and not waste batterys). Screen protector. Nice aspect. Easy to use. GPS works well. Return to home works well. Good flying time. Drone flashlights show slow battery. Transmitter sows the voltage of battery and transmitter. When battery life is slow an alarm sounds. Good FPV signal transmission. Ideal to start with drones.

Limitations: Good fly experience in general but not good to take pics and videos. It moves in excess and it is not kept horizontally. Very difficult to take stable images. I don't know if this lack of stability and horizontality is due to the wind, but i fly with a very very slow wind. The follow me mode works but a halfway. The headless mode...I don't use it. Image quality acceptable at this price but added to the lack of stability the results are sometimes pics with movement or harsh videos. The original battery fits well into the drone but the purchased as replacement enter under pressure. The MicroSD card enter too deep into the slot.

Conclusions: A good introduction to aerial photography and video although the picture quality and the absence of gimbal is quite underwhelming compare to more professional photo drone. With its GPS hold and altitude hold, the Hubsan X4 H501S almost flies itself! That's why it is such an ideal quadcopter for people who want to start to delve into this hobby. Conclusions: It only took 9 working days to arrive from China and includes a LIPO battery in the controller (much better than having to use AAs), and also a screen shade on the remote. Although I have virtually no experience with drones, I found this very easy to fly on GPS.The parcel tracking was excellent apart from a minor problem with the link in the email. The correct link should have been http://17track.net/en/track?nums=xxxxxxxxxxxxx rather than http://17track.net/Index.html?nums=xxxxxxxxxxxxx. I guess 17track may have changed their way into the tracking.This is a great Drone/Quadcopter.

Conclusions: The H501S I consider to be the king of midrange drones. It offers everything one looks for in a dron with GPS. Its evolution, the H501A is even better for the connectivity with the APP that allows greater functions. However, the display control and FPV at 5.8GHz make it great. It would be perfect if it included image stabilization by gimbal or at least digital software. I'm really waiting for the opportunity when TOMTOP makes an oversupply to buy others !!!
